GREETINGS AND SALUTATIONS

why hello there. fancy seeing you here.. (looks around) how did you even find this place anyway? (don't mind the shark. he got loose) i thought it was like. completely deserted? do people even explore the internet anymore.. i thought this.. short term content stuff was the new thing.. well. thank you. this is special.. i like it. you can call me snugstein. im a marine scientist of sorts.. or i was. until i got trapped here in my computer :[

on a dreary night of november.. wait. wrong script. on a sunny day of june, i got into website coding. this was a couple of years back, and i still have yet to make much improvement.. although, i'm proud of what i have achieved with my skills so far, no matter how amateur i am. i love coding! it's almost like doing math.. solving all of these equations.. or, moreover, plugging in different things into equations in order to solve them.

i don't do a lot of coding, only html/css. but nonetheless, i find it to be quite entertaining. coding is a fantastic creative outlet for me to build my own little world within my computer, which i'm on extremely frequently. coding was also an outlet for me to get off my phone, and restrict my internet (or, mainly social media) usage to only one-room, like how it used to be in the 'good-ol-days.' and.. well.. here i am!

some of my most abiding interests of mine that i feel very connected with are subnautica, frankenstein, splatoon, pathologic, and the re-animator. the re-animator being more recent, and frankenstein, as well. i have a pattern with my interests, that being they're mainly involved with science-y related stuff! splatoon.. well, only in splatoon 3 when it comes to the lore of inkling/octoling evolution (which is extremely fascinating, in my opinion!), but that's really it.

i also heavily aspire to become a marine biologist.. but be an author/short story publisher, or some sort of artist on the side. that'd be cool

woops.. i guess i didn't stick to my promise. i really don't make promises.. do i? well, anyways. i'm almost done with my site.. just gave it a little makeover and here we are C:

overall, i'm extremely satisfied with my work. i've been really unfocused lately, especially after halloween and after getting into frankenstein. on one hand, i'm extremely grateful and happy i got the pleasure of discovering such a fantastic piece of work.. but on the other hand, it's really made me become unfocused these past few days. i had to watch dead poet's society to knock some sense into my self. now, i'm currently reading crime and punishment by dostoevsky, prior i had read a little bit of white nights, and i'm almost done with c&p! it's such an interesting story. funny one minute, terrifying another, then philosophical a second.. such a wild ride! i love it! well, i guess we'll just have to come back next month to see if i actually update, this time. i'll also probably be making a frankenstein blog post sometime soon! au revoir! (ooh.. thats cringey)

wooo!! i'm actually on time this time!! gehhehe i said time 2wice. anyways, i haven't been up to much when it comes to updating this website because i'm extremely busy with school and i also caught this evil EVIL stomach bug where it feels like i'll implode any second.

im INCREDIBLY late!! sorry about that.. i've been really caught up with school and ya know.. HOLLOW KNIGHT SILKSONNNGG!!

but lately, i've been getting into my old interests and my splatoon fixation is slowly returning :) my best friend actually got some splatoon stuff for me from her family reunion, which was really sweet of her!! im so happy :) theres been a lot of drama involving my friends too, so i've been really thinking hard about that as well. other than that, i've got into scrapbooking and traditional journaling! which is probably another reason i forgot about this blog lol.. but yeah, im back!!

so.. theres really nothing new going on lately.. so this updatew will be short.. lol!!

i recently dyed my hair blue, which i'm super happy with. it's more of like a teal-ish color, which is the exact color i was going for, so i'm satisfied!

i've officially completed hollow knight! yay!!! i'm trying to get the dream no more ending, but i keep getting absolutely pounded by the radiance ..

on the topic of hollow knight and generally just video games, i've gotten a bunch of game merch like omori plushies, a hk shirt, an ENA: Dream BBQ shirt, and more on the way!!

i'm also learning how to crochet!!

yepp,,, thats really it. i'm making a new website, one that fits in more with my aesthetic, and to fulfill my hollow knight fixation currently ^0^ seeya there!!

(7-1-2025) Update.. And new goals!

hey! i can't believe i haven't made a blog update in almost a month already.. but, i wanted to talk about some things and set a few goals for myself in the future!

so, obviously, i'm going to make it my main goal to update this blog once a month at least. then, once i'm comfortable with that, and eventually bored of it, maybe.. then i'll start updating my blog once a week! i think this will be an effective way for me to get my thoughts out efficiently without having to Pick Up a pen and notebook and.. actually write it out. it feels much more smoother and nicer typing my thoughts out on my clacky little keyboard on my little puter.. i've also been drastically improving my art, each line by each line,, day by day, week by week. it's super easy for me to burn out, as i am right now.. i'll take a note of this!

also, ever since summer has started, i've become so much more bored and i lack the self esteem i had back when i was still in school, which happens often during long breaks, like summer or winter break, soo.. maybe i should begin to go out more, and set more goals for myself hehe

(6-1-2025) I'mm.. old..!!

wooo!! it's my birthday todayy!! i took a really nice trip to barnes & nobles with my family and got myself a copious amount of manga.. i got the first 3 volumes of chainsaw man, along with another one of fujimoto's works, the oneshot Look Back, which i watched the animated version of recently!! it was amazing, and having it in physical, comic form makes me so happy. looking at it displayed on my shelf encourages me to keep going with my artwork and just makes me very hopeful overall. i'm very grateful for what i got today!! happy birthday 2 me ^_^

(5-28-2025) Can you believe it?!

i can't believe splatoon's 10th anniversary is already here! even though i only started playing splatoon after splatoon 2's grandfest ended, it holds a very special place in my heart and i love it so much!! it's led me to realize what i'm truly interested in, and what i want to pursue in the future, something biology or science related! ive met great friends and have overall been happier ever since discovering splatoon. thank you, splatoon!
